The group came back with ice cream that they didn’t share with us. Not very nice. 

Skimgik then told us about a job she picked up, bounty hunting a *false hydra*. Yep. False Fucking Hydra. Then they had me scry on it. I didn’t remember quite just how horrible it was so that was fun. It has seven heads now, and it’s probably cruising around suspended by an airship (The Chain Letter) just wiping out towns from the convenience of air. That’s not horrifying at all.

Turns out the halfling was a hired assassin, Galen Marlow, who was hired by a group called the Slip to watch and assassinate my mother if the opportunity came up. We got the jump on him and were able to get some details. The assassination order came in last night. 

 

Then Eiko hired him. I … guess it makes sense. We have to get the people we care about, fast, and can’t risk word getting back to them. 

 

Things happened fast then. I did a Sending to Thormir’s mother, Tova, and she told me she was in the midst of being attacked and needed help. Most of the group immediately teleported to help her. I stayed behind to look after my family, and Eiko had new crew to collect for the airship.
