So we talked to the severed head of one of the assassins that killed Tofa. We learned that someone named Dylish ordered the assassination.

 

Turns out Dylish is a former paladin of the Raven Queen, and is a member of the Cult of Dragons. Cressida learned that Dylish was once the carrier of the Holy Avenger, and lost in a fight against Vestra in the past.

 

 

Wander was contacted again by Toskos. He spoke with her through the sending box on the airship briefly before he was cut off and another voice spoke to her. Azarureal of the Planes of Avernus talked to her after that. He claimed he wanted to work together with us to stop the return of Tiamet to the prime material plane and offered an alliance.  All they ask is that we not kill them during their operation. Now we have lunch plans with his agent tomorrow to discuss terms.

 

Azarureal is an arch-devil, and in charge of a section of the great war.

 

 

 

We decided to have a smaller group go to lunch to talk over the potential alliance. It was Wander, Cressida, Eiko, Thormir, and me. Three of them came to meet us; Curio, Lilia, and Vandin. We had a significant discussion about where souls would go, the freedom of the devils, and such. No contract was drafted yet, and we’re waiting to hear back.

 

 

I had a quick commune over at the Temple of Kelemvor. He told me that he trusts my judgment with the whole devil contract, so that was a relief. He also reassured me to the best that he could that my mom and Hib will hopefully be safe enough at the Twilight Keep.

 

*And* he said that sometime in the future, when we’re both actually physically in the same place, we will be able to have longer conversations and that he’d give me a hug! How many people are promised a hug from Kelemvor?? So awesome.

 

 

Just after we left Taka, waaaay up in the sky floating on a tiny island, we ran into Sycophantom! His cart and horse were on the little floating island and I feel like I should probably be figuring out how he does these things, but I’m just going to let it go as a *fun* mystery that isn’t trying to kill us all.

 

I bought a Ball of Shouting. It yells everything it sees when I throw it. I love it.
